The Blacklites are a contemporary duo consisting of acoustic guitars, light percussion and vocals. 

Steve Gaffney is originally from Melbourne where he was lead vocalist in the funk cover band ‘Cut the Jive’, who frequently played at popular venues such as ‘Veludo’ in St Kilda. Since moving to Brisbane the 23yr old singer and guitarist has been fronting the Blacklites. Steve’s vocal style embodies elements of pop, jazz and soul.

Damian Crisp is a 31yr old guitarist based in Brisbane who has played in various cover and original acts throughout South East Qld, including original band ‘One Trick Pony’, through which he supported high profile Australian bands such as ‘The Whitlams’ and ‘Mental as Anything’. Damian’s guitar style is influenced by a fusion of rock, pop and world genres such as latin and flamenco. 

Steve’s soulful vocals combined with smooth harmonies and solid, energy driven guitar makes the Blacklites a compelling duo.
