Vida Sunshyne

Vida-Sunshyne began performing professionally at the age of 15 in 2000, supporting the likes of Lucky Dube and Burning Spear. She then spent the next two years performing with a long time local Melbourne reggae band.
2003 Vida-Sunshyne joined her first hip hop outfit, and went on to support K-Ci and Jo Jo. It was in late '03 that she formed the first Australian all female sound, "Natty Sistren Sound", performing with a local Melbourne selecta at various local clubs.
2004 Vida-Sunshyne met with British producer Nitin Sawhney, as part of the Melbourne International Arts Festival. She also stood as the backing Vocalist for Lionel Richie that year on Good Morning Australia and The Footy Show, Both broadcasting LIVE around Australia.
2005 she supported Ja Rule, Chingy, Nitty, 112 and Case. she also supported Tippa Irie and Mix Master Mike that year as well as traveling to England to perform with Nitin Sawhney again.
2007 brought Vida-Sunshyne to a whole new level, supporting Ziggy Marley, Junior Reid, Luciano, Mikey General, and Blu King Brown. From Melbourne Australia straight to Accra, Ghana, Vida-Sunshyne found herself sharing the stage with Ghana's great local artists, such as Sha Sha Marley and Won love. She appeared on the very popular music show Allo Tigo, interviewed by Jon Germain which was aired all over Africa and some parts of Europe. She has had amazing feed back from her feature in the first all Reggae Australian made album by Mista Savona "Melbourne Meets Kingston" as the only Australian
Vocalist on The Album, which brought her to perform with the Mista Savona Band.
2008 Vida-Sunshyne supported Jah Mason, Luciano, Jack Scorpio and Horace Andy. By July 08 Vida-Sunshyne went on tour
with the Mista Savona Band to play at such events as WOMADELAIDE in Aus, WOMAD08 in the UK over two days and then on to play in Istanbul. After performing in Turkey She then Traveled to Kingston, Jamaica where she met and recorded with Senetah an upcoming Singer/Songwriter at Stampede studio in Kingston. The end of 2008 took Natty Sistren Sound to a new level as Vida-Sunshyne has moved onto her solo career. 2009 Vida-Sunshyne's new track "By The Way" is on the B side of Burro Bantons new release with Producer Mista Savona, which was of the top 20 best sellers on www.ebreggae.com
that year. She has toured Tasmania supporting Horace Andy, and has now Collaborated with producer Chasm for Their Album, "Move" featuring Million Dan, Mantra and Damajah, Released Oct 23rd 2009. She is now working on an Album to be released in 2011. A video clip with Chasm has gone to air in 2009 for her debut single "Where did we go wrong?" Now on rotation on JJJ. as well as one with Astronomy Class along side Ozi Battla (The Herd, Astronomy Class) and Kween G (Killa Queenz) now airing on Rage, Channel V and MTV. And also another clip with Pataphysics for his single "Over". Vida-Sunshyne plans to collaborate as much as possible over the next year with many artists from different Genre's and Countries. She is now signed to Plethora Records!
